gratitude and grace.
LOVE is in the air.
I LOVE the fall. And LOVE Thanksgiving even more.I love the fall for...all the amazing colors, the brisk chill in the air that provides great sweater weather and the fogged up windows you can get when you have a full house, a bustling kitchen and laughter in the air! It's such a special time because everything is in the midst of change and going towards hibernation. And I love Thanksgiving because not only does it have all my favorite elements of the fall, but it's when you actually have the opportunity to take a break, gather with close friends and family and give thanks. And in these busy and crazy economic times, it's easy to forget how fortunate we all really are.Yes, we all go through our ups and downs, some worse than others....but I believe everything in life is cyclical and if we just take the time to contemplate and find the lesson behind the good, bad and ugly, that's when we truly grow and reach new heights. And if we can mange to keep an open heart and mind, the grace definitely pours in. If we can embrace the idea of being open to the grace and having faith that everything happens for our best...wow, we'd all be so much happier and at peace.I just read a quote the other day that really resonated with me and reminded me of how we can easily can open our hearts and minds through out the day if we just remember to say grace and remember how lucky we are....“You say grace before meals. All right. But I say grace before the concert and the opera, and grace before the play and pantomime, and grace before I open a book, and grace before sketching, painting, swimming, fencing, boxing, walking, playing, dancing and grace before I dip the pen in the ink.” -G.K. ChestertonI hope everyone has a happy THANKSgiving, full of grace, love, gratitude, laughter and of course great food!
