All that is GOLD does not glitter...
I ran across this saying the other day and it really got me thinking...
All that is gold does not glitter; not all those that wander are lost.
-J.R.R. Tolkein
As someone who is devoutly devoted to my spiritual evolution, I know I am a wanderer....searching, discovering, learning and yearning daily to stay open, have faith and be completely surrendered as life continuously unfolds. Despite the past few years being full of many unknowns, ups, downs and everything in between....there has been a part of me that has been so steady, firm and unaffected by all the exterior.Deep down, I'm unaffected....there's such a sense of deep-seated sense of assurance...that no matter what, I'm protected and yes, everything is going to be okay.
I contribute that firm feeling of assurance to my relationship with my teacher, my Sadguru, Shri Anandi Ma. She really is GOLD that "does not glitter"...but instead, makes everyone and everything around her glitter and shine bright.Although, she is modest and subtle in her ways, her teachings are profound and genuine...and truly rare. She's in town (Antioch, CA) for the next few weeks and she has a wealth of gold to share. If you've ever thought about meditating or do already meditate...you should really think about attending one of her meditation programs or workshops. She's truly an amazing being that is here for the sole purpose of helping people evolve to their true esssence through Shaktipat and Meditation.I recently read a great post by Kelley Rae Roberts, where she quotes Ram Dass saying,
“We're all just walking each other home".
I love that.As friends, spouses, mother's, father's, son's and daughter's....we're all on this path together..."walking each other home".Meditating, going within and having a teacher like Shri Anandi Ma is like having the porch light on, so that as we all make this journey together, there's a beacon of light, shining brightly, giving us hope and guiding us safely home.
