2014 Thanksgiving Round Up

Hello All,PieHope you all are doing well and are ready to start the holiday season!Since I'm not here for Thanksgiving this year, I thought I'd share some recipes from one of my favorite blogs, Oh She Glows! She has a great step by step,  3-Course, Vegan & Gluten Free Holiday Menu that looks pretty good...I've never made these particular recipes, but all the recipes I have tried from her site have been DELICIOUS...so I have high hopes for these as well. Her menu consists of:The Best Shredded Kale Salad – vegan, gluten-free, grain-free, soy-freeLentil Mushroom Walnut Balls with Cranberry Pear Sauce – vegan, gluten-free, soy-freeMaple Cinnamon Sweet Potatoes – vegan, gluten-free, grain-free, nut-free, soy-free optionPumpkin Pie with Pecan Oat Crust – vegan, gluten-free, soy-free And then of course, here are a few of my personal holiday favorites:Cauliflower Arugula Soup — Light, tasty and different.Baked Tofu — A fast and easy replacement for the turkey; just cut larger slices, bake, drizzle with gravy and serve with all the sides.Grilled Fennel and Goat Cheese — This appetizer is a family favorite…it’s light and pretty versatile.Blackberry Apple Crumble Pie  — My mother-in-law's, tried and true recipe....seriously the best pie ever!Homemade Popcorn — Who needs microwave popcorn when you can make the real deal in just minutes? I wish you all a very delicious, comforting and safe Thanksgiving!xo,Kajal
