Spread the Faith.

What an intense past month it's been. I'm so happy and grateful that light prevailed over dark this election and that a part of the White House glass-ceiling was shattered. What a huge moment for us and history! I know as a female, first-generation, South Asian Indian--having a part of me represented in one of the highest offices of this country means so much on so many levels.

This week in the Indian-lunar calendar we are heading into the days that lead up to Diwali…a time of faith, reflection, gratitude and (ironically :)) celebration of good prevailing over evil. Despite the hardships of 2020, my heart feels full. I’m grateful for so many amazing souls- superheroes that have stepped up and sacrificed in so many different ways — by providing care, healing, help, voice, donations, inspiration and prayers during an unequivocally challenging year of the pandemic, fighting for social equality, and for light forces to prevail over dark forces.

In spite of the depths of darkness and uncertainty we’ve faced this year, the opportunities for growth inside and out have been huge —chances to lean into faith, surrender, love and kindness-- a constant reminder that together, we’re always stronger and wiser.

Happy Diwali + Happy (early) Thanksgiving, friend!
Stay safe + spread the faith,
xo,
Kajal

p.s. Here's a great Diwali recipe I shared a few years back...Corn Pakoras my mom use to make :).
